Alphonso Davies open to Premier League move amid Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool links

Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.

The 24-year-old Canadian international defender will be a free agent in the summer of 2025 and the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are prepared to provide him with an exit route. The three English clubs have now been handed a major boost in the pursuit of the 24-year-old defender.

According to TBR Football, the player’s representatives have informed the three English clubs that he is seriously considering a move to the Premier League next season. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are interested in signing the Canadian international defender as well. They are in desperate need of a quality left-back and they need to bring in an upgrade on Ferland Mendy. It will be interesting to see if they can convince the Bayern Munich star to join them instead of moving to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool keen on Davies

As far as Arsenal are concerned, they need to bring in a quality left back in the summer. Signing the Bundesliga star on a free transfer would be a major coup for them. Davies is one of the best left-backs in the world and signing him on a free transfer would be a masterstroke. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can convince the player to join them. He would be a major upgrade on Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Similarly, Chelsea need reinforcements in that department as well. Marc Cucurella has been quite underwhelming since the move from Brighton and Renato Veiga is simply not good enough to start regularly for a team hoping to win the league title and the Champions League in future. Davies would raise the standards immensely in the left-back department and he could transform Chelsea at both ends of the pitch.

Liverpool need to find a quality long-term replacement for Andrew Robertson as well. The Scottish international is no longer the player he used to be, and he is clearly on the decline. He has been an exceptional servant for Liverpool and replacing him properly should be one of their priorities. The 24-year-old Bundesliga defender would be the ideal acquisition for them.
