Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester City are all keen on acquiring the services of Red Bull Salzburg sensation Oscar Gloukh.
According to a report from Football Insider, Oscar Gloukh could be on the move to a bigger club when the transfer window reopens in January. The Red Bull Salzburg sensation is keen on joining a Premier League and there is interest in his services from Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Manchester City.
He has made quite a name for himself with his consistent performances and there is no shortage of interest in him. Gloukh came up the ranks at Maccabi Tel Aviv and after just a season with their first team, he ended up joining the Red Bull Group-owned club at the start of 2023.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has only gone from strength to strength over the last 18 months. He has featured in a total of 71 matches for them and has contributed towards 39 goals (16 goals, 23 assists). While he prefers playing as a ten, he is capable enough to start on the left flank.
Gloukh could move to the Premier League
The Israeli international’s impressive rise has attracted a lot of interest from across Europe. Multiple top clubs from England want to sign him. Arsenal, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are believed to be massive admirers of the young sensation while Manchester City have been monitoring his progress for some time now.
While Gloukh’s contract with the Austrian club runs until the summer of 2027, they won’t mind sanctioning his departure as long as they receive the right price. They are ready to negotiate his departure in January and would be open to listening to offers of around €35 million.
The Gunners do have Martin Odegaard in their squad but they need someone who can cover for him in his absence. A quality backup option who can become one of their mainstays in the long run and Gloukh surely fits the bill. Even City are looking to prepare for life without Belgian superstar Kevin De Bruyne and the Israeli sensation could be a great signing for them.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also looking for opportunities to further strengthen their attack as they fight for a top-four finish and Gloukh can surely help their cause. Emery would love to work with a versatile star like him. With the player keen on a move to the Premier League, it will be interesting to see if either of the four makes a concrete move to sign him in January.
