Manchester United keen on Eberechi Eze

Manchester United are willing to battle it out with arch-rivals Manchester City for the services of Crystal Palace attacking sensation Eberechi Eze.

Manchester United were quite active in the recently concluded transfer window. They significantly bolstered their defence and even added more quality to their midfield. Despite having done so much in recent months, the Red Devils have already started to plan for the future and according to a report from Fichajes, they are willing to rival Manchester City for the services of Eberechi Eze.

The English attacking midfielder has gone from strength to strength since joining Crystal Palace. His consistent performances for the Eagles haven’t gone unnoticed. He contributed towards 17 goals (11 goals, 6 assists) in his 31 outings last season. His incredible form helped him be a part of the England squad for Euro 2024 and it also resulted in a significant amount of interest from across Europe.

While multiple top clubs were linked with the 26-year-old, he has ended up staying at Palace for now. But, it might not be long before the versatile attacker ends up leaving Selhurst Park. Manchester City are one of the clubs keen on signing the English international who is valued at €70 million.

With Kevin De Bruyne already 33, Eze could come to be a great addition to Pep Guardiola’s team. He could be a long-term replacement for the Belgian international. But, City are not the only Manchester-based club keen on his signature.

The Red Devils also have him on their wishlist. They have already made plans for the next summer transfer window and adding more quality on the flanks is one of the priorities. They are interested in the services of Eze as he can add depth to the wide areas and can even feature as a number ten.

He has already proven himself in the English top flight and won’t take long to adjust to life at Old Trafford. While Erik ten Hag’s continuity at the Manchester-based club will depend on the team’s performance this term, the managerial situation will have no impact on pushing for the signature of Eze.
