Arsenal view Benjamin Sesko as top target, hopeful of signing him

Premier League heavyweights Arsenal reportedly view RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as their priority target for the 2025 summer transfer window.

According to a report by Caught Offside, Benjamin Sesko is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners were keen on signing the RB Leipzig striker this summer before a move failed to materialise. The 21-year-old is now the top target for the North London giants, and they are confident of signing him from the Bundesliga club in the 2025 summer transfer window.

Benjamin Sesko and his short journey so far

Benjamin Sesko has established himself as one of the best young players in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from sister club Red Bull Salzburg last year. The youngster was already a hot property in the market during his spell with the Austrian giants but has seen his stock soar in the past 12 months.

The 21-year-old has a decent record of 19 goals and four assists in 45 appearances across all competitions thus far for RB Leipzig. Sesko has started the 2024/25 season well, scoring once and providing two assists in three outings across the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko’s progress at RB Leipzig has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Arsenal. The Gunners were also keen on signing the Slovenian international from the Bundesliga club in the summer transfer window before a move failed to materialise.

London calling?

Arsenal’s interest in Benjamin Sesko is understandable. The Gunners have been keen on signing a productive striker due to Gabriel Jesus’s poor record in front of the goal. In addition, Eddie Nketiah has left Arsenal, with Jesus and Kai Havertz the only striker options in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Sesko is thus a viable target for Arsenal, with the North London club identifying him as the top target for the 2025 summer transfer window. In addition, the Premier League heavyweights are confident of securing the services of the 21-year-old RB Leipzig striker next year.

It is unclear how much the Bundesliga club will demand to part ways with the Slovenian international in the 2025 summer transfer window. Sesko might not even be available for a deal in the next 12 months, considering his importance to the Bundesliga club.
