Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are the sides keen on Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo next summer, as the forward has come in for high demand.
According to HITC, Bryan Mbeumo could trigger a transfer battle between some of the Premier League elites. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all keen on the 25-year-old Premier League star, as he is in no rush to extend his deal at Brentford as things stand.
Premier League trio keen on Bryan Mbeumo
In the absence of Ivan Toney during the first half of last season, Yoane Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo stepped up brilliantly for Brentford. While they would have somewhat guaranteed a higher finish than their nervy 16th-placed spot last season, Thomas Frank is convinced of the other two in the context of improving performances this season.
While Toney has since left for Saudi Arabia, the likes of Mbeumo could come into the spotlight for Brentford this season. However, there are no guarantees that the Cameroonian is a long-term prospect at the club, as there’s already significant interest in the 25-year-old attacker from top clubs.
Arsenal are one of those keen, as Mikel Arteta could look to add a new face to the attacking setup next summer. The report straight away names Mbuemo as a potential successor for Leandro Trossard, despite the Gunners keen for a new contract to tie down the Belgian. On paper, replacing him with the Brentford man makes sense and could still be a possibility.
Mbuemo is seemingly aware of the growing interest from top clubs, and he would certainly like to make the step up to one of those challengers. His current deal expires in 2026, although Brentford have the option to extend it further by another season. Hence, he might be a bit reluctant to consider an extension as the Bees are keen on the same, meaning he could wait to see what transpires next summer.
Manchester City and Liverpool keen on Mbeumo
More than Arsenal, it’s the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool that could make a compelling offer to Mbeumo. Pep Guardiola was keen on Rodrygo Goes. However, the Real Madrid star may not be able to achieve this unless someone more significant arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer. Hence, Mbeumo could be a good shout as a potential option to replace the departed Julian Alvarez.
Liverpool are sweating on Mohamed Salah’s future, as Saudi sides are prepared to make a substantial financial offer to sign the Egyptian. The Reds consider many candidates to replace their talisman, including Mbeumo, as the 25-year-old Premier League star would be—wise choice to come in place of Salah for the long-term future.
