According to a report by Graeme Bailey on HITC, Jeremie Frimpong might leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window. Several high-profile clubs across Europe have set their sights on the Bayer Leverkusen wing-back. Meanwhile, intermediaries have offered Manchester United to sign the 23-year-old from the Bundesliga club in the summer transfer window.
The rise and rise of Jeremie Frimpong
Jeremie Frimpong has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga since joining Bayer Leverkusen from Celtic in January 2021. A former trainee at Manchester City, the Dutchman rose in prominence during his spell with Celtic before seeing his stock skyrocket at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old was incredible in the 2023/24 season, and his burgeoning partnership with Alejandro Grimaldo was instrumental in Bayer Leverkusen winning the 2023/24 Bundesliga title. Frimpong contributed to 26 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions by finding the back of the net 14 times and providing 12 assists.
