Al-Ittihad prepare final bid to sign Ederson Moraes

Big-spending Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad are ready to submit a take-it-or-leave-it bid worth €38-39 million to sign Ederson Moraes from Manchester City this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Ederson Moraes is the subject of interest from Al-Ittihad. The big-spending Saudi Pro League giants are keen on signing a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Manchester City mainstay. They are now ready to offer a take-it-or-leave-it bid worth €38-39 million to land the 30-year-old.

Ederson Moraes and his happy journey at Manchester City

Ederson Moraes has made considerable progress since joining Manchester City from SL Benfica in July 2017. The Brazilian international was among the most highly sought-after players in the market seven years ago and has made his mark during his spell with Manchester City thus far.

The 30-year-old has turned out nearly 350 times thus far for the Citizens, keeping 155 clean sheets while conceding 257 goals. However, Ederson’s long-term future at Manchester City has been uncertain heading into the summer transfer window as he wants to embark on a new adventure.

That adventure will likely come in the Saudi Pro League, with the experienced goalkeeper agreeing on personal terms with Al-Nassr before a move failed to materialise. The Saudi Pro League heavyweights have cooled their interest in the Manchester City mainstay. However, their fellow big-spending giants are keen, with Al-Ittihad pushing hard for his signature.

Al-Ittihad’s interest in Ederson Moraes is understandable. The big-spending Saudi Pro League giants have been scouring the market for a goalkeeper heading into the summer transfer window. The 30-year-old Manchester City goalkeeper has thus emerged as a viable target for Al-Ittihad.

However, they briefly cooled their interest in securing Ederson’s services due to Manchester City’s “excessive” asking price. But Al-Ittihad will soon present a bid to sign the Brazilian international, having prepared a take-it-or-leave-it bid worth €38-39 million to sign the veteran goalkeeper.

PIF has assured additional funds for Al-Ittihad to launch the offensive to sign the 30-year-old Manchester City mainstay. However, it is unclear if the final bid worth €38-39 million does the trick and brings the experienced shot-stopper to the Saudi Pro League in the summer transfer window.
