Napoli have knocked on the doors of Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Swedish attacking sensation Dejan Kulusevski.
According to Valter De Maggio via Calcio Napoli 24, Napoli are keen on acquiring the services of Dejan Kulusevski, and they have approached Tottenham Hotspur to know more details about a potential transfer. While the Swedish winger is an important part of Ange Postecoglou’s team, they would be willing to sanction his departure for €45 million.
Kulusevski joined Tottenham in the winter of 2022 on an initial 18-month-long deal, which became permanent last summer. So far, he has featured in 96 matches for them and has contributed towards 34 goals (15 goals, 19 assists).
While the majority of his appearances have come on the right flank, he has also featured as an attacking midfielder, a striker and on the left flank when needed. He was a key part of Ange Postecoglou’s team last season as he was involved in 36 out of their 38 Premier League games and even contributed towards 11 goals (8 goals, 3 assists).
Dejan Kulusevski to leave Spurs?
Kulusevski’s versatility has been of great use for the North London club. While he is technically gifted and still has four years left on his deal, the 24-year-old could be on the move this summer. Spurs are looking to make significant investments in their attack. They want more pace on the right flank, a new attacking midfielder to compete with James Maddison and a world-class number nine.
But, before they can complete those signings, they need to sanction a few departures to make room and raise funds. Kulusevski could be one of the players, as they are willing to cash in on him to ensure they sign their top targets for the summer.
