Napoli are keen on Dejan Kulusevski ahead of the summer, but Tottenham may not want to let go of the forward in the window.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Napoli are keen on signing Dejan Kulusevski in the summer, but there are complications in negotiating a deal with Tottenham. The Serie A giants are angling a move for the Swedish attacker to appease prospective managerial target and former Spurs boss Antonio Conte.

Napoli set sights on Dejan Kulusevski

Dejan Kulusevski has hit a loss in form of late with Tottenham, which has seen the Swede lose his starting place to summer signing Brennan Johnson. The Welshman even scored in midweek to keep his spot intact, meaning the Swedish attacker might have to stay content with a place on the bench for the time being.

Should his situation remain the same and if Tottenham angle for a move for a new attacker in the summer, Kulusevski might think about a change. The 23-year-old only joined Spurs on a permanent basis last summer after a long loan from Juventus.

Now, there is a possibility of a return to Italy, with Napoli angling for a move for Dejan Kulusevski in the summer. The Swedish attacker, valued at €60 million, could become a solid option for them as they are potentially looking for ways to spend the Victor Osimhen money, as they anticipate the striker’s big sale.

Napoli are keen to make a statement signing in the summer as they want to appease prospective managerial signing and former Spurs boss Antonio Conte. However, dealing with Tottenham is another significant roadblock Napoli has the manoeuvre, something they might eventually fail as things stand.

Tottenham may not sell

Tottenham may look at a new wide attacker in the summer, but that may not come to affect Kulusevski’s standing in the side. Instead, they see the €60 million-rated attacker as a vital part of their future, having made the effort to bring him to the club.

Moreover, Kulusevski reportedly earns around €5 million per year in salary at Tottenham, something that Napoli might frown upon when negotiating with the attacker. While a move will suit Napoli in their efforts to bring someone like Conte, at this stage, any move for the Swede looks unlikely.
