Manchester City set to sign Han Willhoft-King

Manchester City have agreed terms to sign English youth international Han Willhoft-King following his Tottenham exit.

According to a report from Football Insider, Manchester City are all set to complete the signing of Han Willhoft-King. The teenage sensation recently parted ways with Tottenham Hotspur and has now agreed a deal to join City as a free agent.

King recently parted ways with Tottenham

King joined the North London club when he was just six. While he might not have made it to their first team, the 18-year-old did showcase great promise while playing for the Under-18 team. The defensive midfielder featured in 35 matches for them and even scored four goals.

While he prefers playing in a defensive role, King is capable enough to play in advanced roles when needed. He has huge potential and is expected to have a bright future. Tottenham were keen on extending his stay at the club but the English youth international rejected their proposal after receiving an offer from Manchester City.

Manchester City are always on the lookout for young players who can help them in the long run. They feel King has the potential to feature in the English top flight in the near future. His versatility suggests he could soon be of great use to Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City agree deal to sign King

The midfielder’s performances at the youth level have played a big part in Manchester City’s interest. Once his contract at Tottenham ran out and he was a free agent, a move to the Premier League champions was almost certain following their long-standing interest.

Manchester City have managed to strike a deal with the player who will be joining them on a two-year contract. He is all set to embark on a new journey, and it is believed that he has already completed his medical. The official announcement of the move is expected to arrive soon.

Everything has already been agreed upon, and City are finalising the paperwork. He is expected to join their youth ranks where he will look to develop further and given his potential, it won’t be a surprise if he manages to break into their first team in the near future.
