VfB Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga amid links with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Serhou Guirassy, and they are currently leading the race to sign the VfB Stuttgart striker. Chelsea have been linked with him as well, but the Blues have now decided to pull out of the race, as per Sky Deutschland.

According to a separate report from Bild, Borussia Dortmund are the front runners to sign the Guinean international, and they could certainly use a quality striker like him. The 28-year-old striker had a phenomenal campaign with Stuttgart, scoring 30 goals in all competitions.

Guirassy is well settled in the Bundesliga, and he could improve Dortmund in the final third. The player will be hoping to compete at a higher level, and the opportunity to join one of the best teams in Germany will be quite attractive for him. Dortmund made it to the UEFA Champions league finals last season, and they clearly missed a clinical finisher in the game against Real Madrid. They could certainly use someone like Guirassy next season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have decided to abandon the pursuit of the 28-year-old striker. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in someone else. They need to sign a quality goalscorer this summer. Nicolas Jackson has been quite underwhelming since joining the club last summer, and Chelsea need a prolific centre-forward.

Chelsea and Arsenal could use Guirassy

Chelsea have had two mediocre seasons, and they will look to bounce back strongly. They need quality players to compete with clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City. Someone like Guirassy could have made a big difference in the final third. If they decide to abandon a move for him, they must look to identify a quality alternative.

The Blues cannot hope to head into the new season without a recognised finisher. Meanwhile, the striker will be hoping to prove himself at the highest level and he will look to join a club capable of pushing for trophies. It will be interesting to see if he can secure a move to Dortmund.

Meanwhile, the striker has been linked with Premier League giants Arsenal as well. The Gunners could use a clinical finisher next season. Gabriel Jesus scored just four goals in the league last season, and Arsenal need more quality if they wants to win the league title.

The 28-year-old could be a quality acquisition for them and it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds. However, as things stand, Borussia Dortmund lead the race to secure his services in the summer transfer window.
