Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have all been offered the chance to sign Champions League finalist Mats Hummels.
According to a report from HITC, Premier League could be Mats Hummels’ next destination as there is interest in his services from Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United. The German defender is currently a free agent and is on the lookout for the perfect opportunity to continue his journey in the world of football.
Despite being 35, Hummels still seems to be at the peak of his powers. The German centre-back was a standout performer for Borussia Dortmund last season. He played a big part in their incredible run in the Champions League.
After another impressive season where he featured in 40 matches and contributed towards five goals, Hummels’ time at Dortmund has come to an end. He will not be penning down an extension with the German club and has left them as a free agent.
While there is a lot of interest in his services from the Saudi Pro League and the Major League Soccer, the 35-year-old wants to continue in Europe. He is looking for one last adventure at the very top.
There is interest in him from clubs in Italy, France and Spain but England could end up being his next destination. His representatives have made enquiries in order to garner interest.

They have held talks with Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle. The North London club want to add more depth at the back and the experience of Hummels could come in handy.
While Chelsea have already added Tosin Adarabioyo to their ranks to cope with Thiago Silva’s loss, bringing in the former Dortmund star could be a great move given how inconsistent a few of their young defenders have been.
Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles both picked up serious injuries towards the end of last season and they might not make it back in time for the start of the 2024/25 campaign. As a result, Eddie Howe is looking to add more depth and Hummels could be a sensational signing for them.
