Galatasaray and Manchester United are reportedly discussing a summer deal for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay.
According to a report by Turkish outlet Milliyet, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay are the subjects of interest from Galatasaray. The European regulars are in talks with Manchester United for the two players and are ready to present a joint bid worth €25 million to secure their services in the summer transfer window.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay have been in and out of the starting lineup during their respective stints with the Manchester United first team. Both players have had phases where they have proven their worth to the Premier League heavyweights. However, they have also spent long periods out of the side.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined Manchester United in July 2019, has turned out nearly 200 times thus far for the Red Devils, chipping in with two goals and 13 assists. However, the 26-year-old faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford, as he will enter the final year of his contract on July 1. As for McTominay, he made his first-team debut for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho.
A rare academy graduate for Mourinho, the 27-year-old has made over 250 appearances for Manchester United, chipping in with 29 goals and eight assists. However, McTominay’s long-term future is uncertain, with several well-known clubs ready to sign him. Galatasaray might appear as the next destination for the Manchester United duo.
Turkish move beckons?
Galatasaray’s interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka is understandable. The 26-year-old can be a solid full-back reinforcement for the European regulars, considering they do not have a right-back at his peak. With the 26-year-old expected to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window, a deal might be on the cards.
As for McTominay, the Scottish international has interest from the Premier League. However, Galatasaray will present an intriguing opportunity, considering the Turkish champions can offer UEFA Champions League football. They are ready to propose a joint bid worth €25 million to sign the Manchester United duo.
With the two parties in talks for Wan-Bissaka and McTominay, a summer deal might be on the cards. However, it will be interesting to see if a joint bid worth €25 million does the trick for Manchester United.
