Chelsea agree personal terms with Pedro Lima

Chelsea are closing in on the signature of Arsenal and Liverpool target Pedro Lima, having agreed on personal terms.

According to a report from CaughtOffisde, Chelsea are front-runners for the services of Pedro Lima after agreeing personal terms with the player regarding a move to Stamford Bridge. While the Blues have taken the lead, there is interest in the Brazilian sensation’s services from rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 17-year-old full-back has had an impressive rise at Brazilian second-tier outfit Sport Recife. He was promoted to their first team at the start of the year and has contributed towards four goals in his 25 outing for the senior team. On the back of his performances and his huge potential, multiple top-flight clubs have been monitoring his situation in Brazil.

Arsenal and Liverpool are two English clubs that have kept a close eye on the teenage sensation. Both clubs are always on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their squad and they feel Lima could be a signing for the long run.

While he has been on the Gunners and the Reds’ radar for some time now, Chelsea have overtaken them in their pursuit. The London club have pushed hard to sign the best young talents from across the globe. They have already added quite a few young stars in their ranks following the arrival of their new owners and the trend is expected to continue in the upcoming window.

Negotiations with the Brazilian club could get underway soon and a fee of around €15 million could be enough for them to prise him away.
