Brentford will demand £50 million to sell Bryan Mbeumo

Bryan Mbeumo has been linked with a summer move away from Brentford, with Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle United keen on signing him.

According to HITC, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are interested in Bryan Mbeumo. Brentford will sell the Cameroonian international for a fee of around £50 million this summer.

The 24-year-old winger has established himself as a key player for Brentford, and it is no surprise that Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle are keen on him. He has been one of the best attacker in the league this past season. The Cameroonian international will certainly help all three clubs improve. But the reported asking price could be a bit of a problem.

Although he is a quality player, £50 million is a lot of money, and the three English clubs will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable amount. Liverpool need more quality in the wide areas.

Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz are the only natural wingers at the club right now. Mbeumo could prove to be a quality acquisition. The 24-year-old is versatile enough to operate on both flanks, and he will chip in with goals and assists. If Salah decides to move on next season, Mbeumo could be his replacement.

Tottenham and Newcastle keen on Mbeumo

At Tottenham, he could prove to be an upgrade on Dejan Kulusevski, who has been quite underwhelming this past season. The 24-year-old will add pace, flair and trickery to the side and make Tottenham more unpredictable going forward.

Similarly, Newcastle United need a top-class dribbler like him. They have missed someone who can take on defenders and open up the back four with pace and flair since the departure of Allan Saint-Maximin. The Brentford attacker would be the ideal acquisition for them.

There is no doubt that all three clubs are the financial resources to pay £50 million for the player. But they have to strengthen the other areas of their squad as well, and they will not want to overspend on the 24-year-old.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been linked with a move away this summer as well, and the Bees will not want to lose two of their best attackers in one window.
