Real Madrid devise plan to beat PSG to Leny Yoro signature

Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign Leny Yoro in a deal worth €30-40 million, beating Paris Saint-Germain to his signature.

According to reputed French journalist Santi Aouna, Leny Yoro remains the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Merengues are keen on signing a centre-back in the summer transfer window. And they will ask the Lille defender to reject advances from Paris Saint-Germain. In addition, they want to present a bid worth €30-40 million to sign the 18-year-old prospect.

The rise and rise of Leny Yoro

Leny Yoro is one of the best young prospects in the world. A graduate of the LOSC Lille youth division, the French wonderkid is already a regular at the back for Les Dogues despite still being in his teens.

The 18-year-old has amassed over 3,500 minutes of game time in the 2023/24 season across 44 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with three goals. Meanwhile, Yoro’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs, including Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

A man in demand

Real Madrid’s interest in the Frenchman is understandable. While recent reports have claimed that the Merengues are walking away from a move for the teenage sensation, they need a young centre-back in their squad. David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger are on the wrong side of 30, while Nacho faces an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Leny Yoro is thus a viable target for Real Madrid, with the newly-crowned La Liga champions devising a plan to win the race to sign him. Los Blancos will likely present an offer worth €30-40 million to secure his services. In addition, Real Madrid will request Yoro to snub PSG this summer.

Speaking of PSG, recent reports have claimed that they are stepping up their efforts to sign the 18-year-old French defender, who has drawn comparisons to Raphael Varane. The Ligue 1 champions need a new centre-back, with Presnel Kimpemble likely departing from Parc des Princes this summer.

With Real Madrid hatching a ploy to beat PSG to Yoro’s signature, it will be interesting to see if the plan works. For now, they are looking to win the race to sign the Frenchman from LOSC Lille in the summer transfer window.
