Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham United want Youssef En-Nesyri

A host of Premier League sides are ready to rush to sign Youssef En-Nesyri, who seems primed to leave Sevilla in the summer.

According to Fichajes, at least three Premier League sides are seriously considering a move for Youssef En-Nesyri ahead of the summer. The Sevilla forward enters the final year of his deal, as his profile continues to attract the likes of West Ham United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Two Spanish managers want Youssef En-Nesyri

Youssef En-Nesyri has a unique profile for a centre-forward that could come to benefit many Premier League sides. The physically imposing Moroccan has had another excellent season with Sevilla, scoring 19 times in all competitions, as his time here at the Spanish side may come to an end in the summer.

With Sevilla going through tough financial times, they might have to sell some of their stars, as there’s no possible scope of renewing some deals, including Lucas Ocampos and En-Nesyri. The former has interest from Fulham, while the Moroccan could be a target of two Spanish managers in England, namely Unai Emery and Julen Lopetegui.

Aston Villa have shown an interest before, as Emery wants to add more firepower with an experienced forward with a European pedigree. En-Nesyri’s presence in Sevilla’s frontline makes him a good name to have in any squad, with Aston Villa certainly lacking a forward of his profile.

Julen Lopetegui, who will replace David Moyes at West Ham, has known En-Nesyri from his days as Sevilla’s manager. The Hammers are already formulating an offer for the Moroccan, as there’s a clear need to bring a new leading striker to cover and compete with the inconsistent Michail Antonio.

Newcastle United in En-Nesyri race

Newcastle United are also mentioned as a suitor, with Eddie Howe keen to add a striker. Either he wants someone like the Moroccan to replace Arsenal-linked Alexander Isak or to complement the Swede ahead of the new campaign.

Howe might also view En-Nesyri as a replacement for Callum Wilson, who could leave the club in the close season. However, the Moroccan striker will have the choice to join one of those Premier League sides if they all make approaches, with Aston Villa probably the only one right now with the offer of Champions League football.
