Newcastle United inform Miguel Almiron he is free to leave

Newcastle United have reportedly informed Miguel Almiron that they wish to sell him in the summer, with offers expected for the Paraguayan.

According to TBR, Newcastle United are ready to sell Miguel Almiron in the summer. The club have informed the Paraguayan of their desire as they are bracing for offers to arrive for the in-demand attacker, with Saudi Arabia and expected destination for the winger.

Newcastle United to sell Miguel Almiron?

Newcastle United are preparing for a vital summer window ahead, with the club desperate to bring in some much-needed funds to boost their transfer budget. That could see the Magpies sell some of their important players and those currently on the fringes.

One of them is Miguel Almiron, who has been largely a successful signing since making his 20 million move all those years ago. Last season, the Paraguayan was instrumental in the Magpies making to the top four as he chipped in with 11 goals during the Premier League campaign, however, in the current term he has been out of form and late Eddie Howe has not favoured to play him much.

To his credit, he has been nursing a knee problem in the past month, but now the Magpies have reportedly decided to sell him in the summer. They have informed Almiron of their desire to consider offers in the summer, with the in-demand attacker likely to attract many clubs towards his signature.

The Magpies still hope to attract sizeable offers for the 30-year-old in the summer, with some destinations already mentioned for the Paraguayan. A good sale would help Newcastle massively to raise funds for new signings, although there are question marks about where he wants to go next.

Saudi, MLS or Premier League for Almiron?

Almorion has proved his worth in the Premier League, and a few teams will closely look at him ahead of the summer. Saudi Arabia was mentioned in January, and the Middle Eastern league could pay Newcastle a decent amount for the transfer.

Reports are linking Almiron over a return to the MLS, where he has a decent fan following owing to his stint with Atlanta United. Hence, Paraguayan will have plenty of choices on the table, with Saudi Arabia being a significant possibility for the 30-year-old, which Newcastle hopes will be the case.
