Manchester City have established contact with RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo ahead of a potential move in the summer.
According to Sport BILD via Sport Witness, Manchester City are interested in acquiring the services of Dani Olmo. The English giants are looking further bolster their squad in the summer. They feel the RB Leipzig star could be a great addition to their team and have been in touch with him ahead of a potential transfer.
Olmo has established himself as a mainstay in the attack at the Bundesliga club. He has featured in 148 matches for them over the years and has contributed towards 63 goals. Olmo’s consistent performances and his ability to feature as an attacking midfielder as well as on the flanks have not gone unnoticed.
There is no shortage of interest in him. While his contract with Leipzig runs until the summer of 2027, he is expected to be on the move in the summer. There is a €65 million release clause in his contract, which could lead to his departure.
Manchester City interested in Olmo
Manchester City are always on the lookout for players who can make them stronger, and Olmo is someone who could be a great signing because of his abilities and versatility. With Bernardo Silva’s future at the club uncertain, the 26-year-old could come in as an ideal replacement.
Pep Guardiola’s team are keen on his signature, and they have been in touch with the Spanish international as they plot a move for the summer. But, nothing is concrete at this stage, and Manchester City are in no rush as the release clause in Olmo’s contract is active until July.

He seems focused on the Euros where he will be one of the stars for Spain and might try to attract more interest with impressive performances. His performances could make the €65 million release clause a bargain.
Manchester City might not have made their interest in the 26-year-old concrete yet, but they are keeping a close eye on him. They have been in talks with the Spanish star and the English giants might want to have a final look at him during the Euros in Germany before triggering the clause.
