Newcastle United ahead of Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham United in Tosin Adarabioyo chase

Newcastle United are front-runners for the signature of West Ham, Chelsea and Tottenham target Tosin Adarabioyo.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Newcastle United have taken the lead in their pursuit of the services of Tosin Adarabioyo. The Fulham centre-back is expected to be on the move in the upcoming transfer window and there is no shortage of interest in his services.

The former Manchester City youth product has made quite a name for himself with impressive performances for Fulham over the years. He has been a constant feature for them at the back and his work hasn’t gone unnoticed.

While he is an integral part of the Cottagers’ first team, he is all set to leave the club in the summer with his contract expiring at the end of the season. The 26-year-old is not looking to extend his stay and numerous clubs from England are ready to pounce on the opportunity to sign him as a free agent.

Chelsea, West Ham & Tottenham want Adarabioyo

Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham are all keen on his signature. Thiago Silva is all set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season and they are looking at Adarabioyo as someone who can come in as a replacement. The Blues are closely monitoring his situation as they look to lure him to the club.

West Ham United are also looking to reinforce their defence. They want to bring in a new centre-back and feel the experienced Adarabioyo could be a great fit for the club. Tottenham’s new boss Ange Postecoglou is looking to add more depth at the back. Despite having signed Radu Drăgușin in the winter, he wants to add another centre-back to the mix and the Fulham defender is one of the names on their wishlist.

Newcastle leading the race for Adarabioyo

While all three clubs are ready to offer him the opportunity to continue in London, he is pleased by Newcastle’s interest. The Magpies have suffered because of multiple injuries at the back this term. Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman are currently out injured and they might not be fully fit at the start of next season.

As a result, Newcastle are keen on signing a new centre-back and they see this as a great opportunity to reinforce their backline without having to spend much. The Magpies have already held talks to sign the 26-year-old and as per the report, the first meeting was quite positive for all parties involved.

They have managed to jump the queue and are now leading the chase. Meanwhile, the player is looking for a three-year deal with an annual pay of over £5 million which is something all the Premier League clubs involved can surely afford.
