Crystal Palace are keen on signing the Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old midfielder faces an uncertain future at Lazio according to a report from Fichajes and Crystal Palace are looking to secure his services.
His contract with the Italian club will expire in June and it remains to be seen whether the Eagles can convince him to move to London.
It will be interesting to see if Lazio can convince him to sign a new deal with them. If the two parties fail to reach an agreement, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Monchengladbach are keeping tabs on his situation.
However, the Japanese international is not keen on a return to the Bundesliga. He feels that he has already shown his quality in the German league and he finds the Premier League an attractive destination.
Kamada to replace Olise or Eze?
Crystal Palace need more creativity and control in the middle of the park and the Japanese international should prove to be a quality acquisition.
He will add goals and creativity to their midfield and signing him on a free transfer could prove to be a major bargain.
The Eagles have had a disappointing season this year and they will look to bounce back strongly. They need to bring in quality players in order to do that. Kamada would certainly be a superb acquisition for them.
The Japanese midfielder is at the peak of his powers and he will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football and it remains to be seen whether he can establish himself as a key player for Crystal Palace right away.
The Eagles might have to part ways with key players like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze at the end of the season. Both players have been linked with moves away from the club and they will have to be replaced adequately. Someone like Kamada could prove to be the ideal acquisition for cheap.
Signing him on a free transfer would leave Crystal Palace with the resources to improve the other areas of their squad as well.
