Manchester United are ready to break the bank and fork out £170 million to sign Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are keen on having Vinicius Junior in their ranks. Their new part owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is looking to revive the club and take them back to the top of world football. They are expected to make quite a few big moves this summer and the Brazilian international is a top target for them.

Vinicius Junior’s rise at Real Madrid

Vinicius’ impressive rise at Flamengo caught the eyes of Real Madrid who signed him in the summer of 2018. They invested heavily in the Brazilian youngster and it seems to have done wonders for them. He has gone from strength to strength with every passing season and has managed to establish himself as the leader of their attack.

At 23, he is already a mainstay in the team and has been a consistent performer for the past few seasons. In the ongoing season, the left-winger has featured in 31 matches for the team in white and has contributed towards 28 goals (18 goals & 11 assists).

While he still has three years left on his deal at Real Madrid and is a very part of their first team, Manchester United are looking to prise him away from Spain. French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Madrid forward. But, as per the report, they are not looking to make a move for him in the summer despite having the funds to pull off this big transfer.

Manchester United ready to break the bank for Vinicius

With PSG not in the mix, United are looking to move aggressively to sign the 23-year-old. The Red Devils do have a lot of quality in their attack but they haven’t been consistent enough. They want someone who can be the leader of their attack and guarantee goals.

Vinicius is a top target for the new part owners and they are willing to fork out £170 million to prise him away from Los Blancos. Even if they are willing to pay a massive fee for the Brazilian winger, it will still not be easy to acquire his services.

Real Madrid rate him very highly and he is a part of their long-term plans as a result, they will try their best to keep him at the club. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how far the Red Devils are willing to go to sign one of the best forwards in world football.
