Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly still keen on signing 22-year-old Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer.

A report from Give Me Sport has claimed that Wolves remain keen on Armando Broja. The 22-year-old will likely leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The Black Country outfit need more quality and depth in the final third, and Broja could be a superb addition for them. He could share the goalscoring burden with Matheus Cunha and improve Wolves going forward. So, it is hardly surprising that Wolves want him after considering a winter move.

The Albanian has previously shown his quality in the Premier League during a loan spell with Southampton. He barely had any game time with Chelsea this season and joined Fulham on loan during the second half of the campaign. Broja needs regular football to continue his development, and a move to the Molineux would be ideal for him if they are prepared to provide him with regular chances.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will need to raise funds to improve their squad during the summer transfer window. They have spent freely since the takeover and are under pressure to comply with the financial regulations now.

The West London club will want to avoid any punishments for overspending. So, they could look to cash in on some of their fringe players. Broja is certainly an expendable asset for them, and Chelsea could be open to selling him if there is a suitable offer on the table.

Broja must leave Chelsea permanently

The 22-year-old is a talented young player with a big future ahead of him, and he will have plenty of opportunities to play for big clubs if he manages to continue his development for now. He should look to join Wolves and play regularly in the coming years.

It remains to be seen whether Wolves decide to follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the 22-year-old in the coming weeks. Chelsea have had a disappointing season so far, and they will need the right additions during the summer transfer window to bounce back strongly.

Selling the Albanian international could prove to be a wise decision for them. It will give them the funds to bring in the right additions during the summer transfer window.

Unless Chelsea value him below £15m Wolves will have zero interest!
