Aston Villa and Manchester United have reportedly scouted 23-year-old Italian international Raoul Bellanova in recent weeks.

According to a report by Italian outlet Torino Granata, Raoul Bellanova is a target for several Premier League clubs. Aston Villa and Manchester United are interested in the Italian international. Meanwhile, Torino will demand around €20-25 million to part ways with him in the summer transfer window.

Who is Raoul Bellanova?

Raoul Bellanova has been one of the best young players in the last few seasons. A native of Rho, the 23-year-old spent his formative years with AC Milan before graduating from the club’s youth division over half a decade ago. However, he began his professional career in France after joining Girondins Bordeaux.

The Italian full-back rose in prominence during his loan stints with Pescara, Cagliari, and Inter Milan. Those spells compelled Torino to permanently sign him for just €7 million last summer. Bellanova took no time to establish a foothold at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, turning out 33 times while chipping in with one goal and six assists.

Bellanova’s progress at Torino has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs across Europe. A summer move to the Premier League might be on the cards, with Aston Villa and Manchester United keen on signing him. Meanwhile, the player’s value has trebled, with his price rising to €20-25 million.

Premier League move on the cards?

Aston Villa’s interest in Raoul Bellanova is understandable. Matty Cash is the only recognised right-back at Unai Emery’s disposal. So, it is hardly surprising that Ezri Konsa has often played as a right-back this season. The Torino full-back has thus emerged as a viable target for Aston Villa.

As for Manchester United, Aaron Wan-Bissaka faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford despite a few suggestions of impending contract renewal talks. Nevertheless, Bellanova is an option worth considering, as he can add dynamism in the final third with his dangerous crosses.

Torino would prefer not to part ways with Bellanova in the summer transfer window. However, they will consider offers if they reach €20-25 million. Aston Villa and Manchester United should ideally not have any qualms about shelling out such a sum to secure his services.
