Brentford expecting Ivan Toney exit amid widespread links

Ivan Toney has been linked with a summer move away from Brentford, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham interested.

A report from HITC has claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham are keen on signing Ivan Toney in the summer, and they have been handed a major boost now. Brentford are prepared to sell the English international for just £50 million at the end of the season.

The striker was valued at £80 million in recent months, and his suitors will be delighted with the fact that they can now sign him for a reasonable price. The 28-year-old striker is highly rated in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for all four clubs.

Ivan Toney would improve all four clubs

Manchester United need to sign a quality striker in the summer, and Toney is one of their targets. The Englishman could share the goalscoring burden with Rasmus Hojlund and help Manchester United find the back of the net more often.

Arsenal need to sign a quality striker as well, and Toney should prove to be an upgrade on Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian has not been able to score goals consistently, and the Brentford attacker could prove to be an upgrade if he manages to hit the ground running.

Chelsea will be looking to solve their goalscoring problems as well. Summer signing Nicolas Jackson has not been at his best, and the Blues will need more quality at their disposal. The 28-year-old could prove to be an upgrade on the former Villarreal striker.

Finally, Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a quality striker as well. They chose not to sign an out-and-out goalscorer after the departure of Harry Kane. But Spurs need to add more depth to the side now. They need to sign someone who can lead the line for them and add creativity and goals to the side.

Toney is more than just a goalscorer, and he should prove to be the ideal acquisition for Tottenham in the final third. Signing him for £50 million could represent a quality investment for all four clubs, and it will be interesting to see where the striker ends up.
