Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of 26-year-old Athletic Club shot-stopper Unai Simon ahead of next season.

The Blues are quite impressed with the performances of Athletic Club shot-stopper Unai Simon and could make a move for the 26-year-old in the upcoming transfer window.
Unai Simon’s rise at Athletic Club
Simon has come up the ranks at Athletic Club and he was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2018. The 26-year-old has gone from strength to strength since and is currently one of the best goalkeepers in Spain.
He has been a mainstay in the Spanish club over the past few seasons and his performances have attracted a lot of attention. In the ongoing season, he has featured in 29 league games and has only conceded 26 goals. The Spanish international has kept a clean sheet in 15 of those fixtures.
While he is a very important part of Ernesto Valverde’s team, the 26-year-old could be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in his services. His current contract with Athletic Club runs out in the summer of 2025, as a result, the upcoming window could be the best time for the Spanish club to cash in on him.

The London club have been watching Simon for a while now and they consider him an ideal fit for the club. He can be an immediate fix and will also help them in the long run.
