According to Rudy Galetti, Arsenal and Chelsea must pay Benjamin Sesko’s €50 million release clause to stand a chance to sign the striker. RB Leipzig are not about to reduce the asking price for anyone, with reports suggesting the striker might be open to joining the Premier League.

Benjamin Sesko could become a vital striker target for many clubs, especially those who are eager to sign a new striker. Chelsea are certainly in that camp, as they lack a significant presence up front, and have been looking for a new no.9 since January, but FFP obligations prevented any move for a new forward.
In the summer, they could enter the market with renewed vigour and bring that much-needed forward to lead the line. Benjamin Sesko is one of the names on their list, and now they have learned RB Leipzig’s asking price for the Slovenian forward.
As per Rudy Galetti, Sesko has a €50 million asking price in his contract, which would seem reasonable for many clubs. There were reports Arsenal would prefer someone else over Sesko, although should Mikel Arteta see his profile fit in his plans at the club, the move might still materialise.
The Gunners have some priority positions in the summer, including a new midfielder and a wide forward. Hence, at the price of €50 million, the 12-goal attacking target might seem like a smart buy that would strengthen their squad and add depth to the centre-forward position, which could see Eddie Nketiah depart and leave space for a new arrival.

At Leipzig, he wasn’t the automatic starter in the first half of the campaign, with Lois Openda taking up that role to good effect. However, in recent months, the 12-goal attacker has been starting games frequently, and it has yielded results and goals to his name. He remains open to joining the Premier League should a big offer arrive, but he may have some conditions regarding his new club.
For starters, Sesko might not want to play second fiddle again to a more prominent No.9, which might be bad news for the Gunners. However, someone like Chelsea or even Napoli, who are interested, might benefit from that, as they have a space to bring someone as their primary centre-forward next season, which could appeal to Sesko.
