Liverpool are ready to battle it out with Barcelona for the services of 16-year-old Brazilian prodigy Estevao Willian.

According to Rudy Galetti, Liverpool are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season. The Reds are looking to prepare for life without Mohamed Salah. They are on the lookout for a player who can replace him in the long term and have their eyes on Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian.

Despite being only 16, he is already a part of their first team having gained promotion to the senior team at the start of the year. So far the teenage sensation has featured in six matches for the first team and has even contributed towards a goal.

His impressive rise and his performances at the youth level for both club and country have attracted a lot of attention. Multiple top clubs have been monitoring him for a long while now and they could look to strike a deal with the Brazilian club in the summer.

Barcelona monitoring the teenage sensation

While Estevao can only make a move when he turns 18, clubs are aware of the competition for his services and in order to avoid them, they try to strike a pre-agreement. Barcelona are one of the clubs that are quite interested in his services.

They have been monitoring the winger for a long while and feel he is a star in the making. As a result, the Catalan giants are very much interested in signing him but they will face competition from Liverpool.

Liverpool keen on Estevao’s services

Mohamed Salah has been the go-to man for the Reds over the years. But, his future at the club is not certain amidst a lot of interest in his services from the Middle East. There are high chances of him leaving in the summer, even if he does end up staying, the 31-year-old’s time at Liverpool will eventually come to an end.

As a result, they are looking to prepare themselves for the future and are on the lookout for a long-term replacement of the Egypt international. Estevao’s impressive rise has caught their attention and they feel the 16-year-old has the potential to make the right-wing position his own in the long run. That is why, the Reds are looking to push for his services in the near future.
