Spanish forward Joselu is reportedly open to the chance of joining Manchester United this summer if Real Madrid doesn’t make his loan stay permanent.

According to transfer insider Dean Jones (via GIVEMESPORT), Manchester United are considering whether to sign Real Madrid striker Joselu to bolster their attack in the summer transfer window.

Joselu has played in the Premier League previously, and was largely ineffective. The Spanish striker scored just 10 goals in 68 games for Newcastle and Stoke in the English top flight.

He moved to Alaves after his spell at the former ended, and three good goalscoring seasons were the catalyst for a move to Espanyol, where Joselu bagged 16 La Liga goals in 34 La Liga games. And although he was unable to keep Espanyol in the top flight, he got himself a loan move to Real Madrid.

Joselu has proven to be a useful asset to Carlo Ancelotti’s side this term, registering 13 goals across 39 matches in all competitions.

They reportedly have the option to buy the striker for just £1.2 million, and while the player wants a Santiago Bernabeu stay, the decision may not be entirely down to him.

That’s because the club are already expecting the arrival of teenage striking sensation Endrick, who netted two for Brazil across the international break.

In addition, speculation continues to suggest that Kylian Mbappe could finally make his long-awaited arrival at Real Madrid.

With the likes of Rodrygo Goes and Vinícius Junior also providing plenty of quality in attack, with Jude Bellingham and Brahim Díaz operating behind, there will be no shortage of offensive talent next season.

Man United could make a bargain move for Joselu

With Joselu’s future yet to be decided, it was recently reported that Manchester United are interested in bringing him back to the Premier League.

Although the player remains determined to stay at Real Madrid, he hasn’t yet ruled out the chance to join Manchester United ahead of the 2024–25 campaign.

Having turned 34 years old earlier this week, Joselu would be one of the more experienced figures in the Red Devils’ squad, and he would be expected to join after the European Championships this summer.

He has been a regular for Spain since receiving his first call-up last year, scoring five goals in ten games for Luis de la Fuente, and is set to be one of the team’s primary attacking options in Germany.
