Liverpool have been offered the opportunity to sign 22-year-old Portuguese defensive sensation Goncalo Inacio.
According to Sports Zone, Goncalo Inacio’s impressive rise has caught the attention of multiple top clubs from across Europe. Liverpool are one of the clubs that have been closely monitoring him and they have been offered the chance to land him at the club.
Inacio’s coming of age
Inacio joined the Sporting CP youth ranks in the summer of 2012. He has come up the ranks at some pace and has been a part of their first team since the summer of 2020. The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength in the recent past and is one of the best young talents in the Portuguese league.
He has established himself as a mainstay and his performances have also earned him a place in the Portuguese national team. While his contract with Sporting runs until the summer of 2027, he is expected to be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in him.
There is a €60 million release clause in his deal that could lead to his departure without much trouble. Despite interest from across Europe, Liverpool could end up winning the race for his services. The Reds have been offered the chance to sign him and they can strike a deal in the summer.

While the Reds have a lot of quality in their defence, they do need a new left-sided centre-back. They lack depth in that area and it is something they want to take care of in the summer. Inacio is left-footed and he could easily take charge in that role for years to come.
The 22-year-old has been performing at a high level over the past few seasons and it won’t take him long to settle in the Merseyside club’s backline. Given the kind of qualities he has, the Portuguese sensational could go on to do great things for them.
