Murillo has been linked with a move away from Nottingham Forest, with several top teams keen on securing his services.

A report via Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona are all keen on signing 21-year-old Brazilian defender Murillo from Premier League club Nottingham Forest.

Murillo has done quite well for Nottingham Forest this season, and it is no surprise that the top clubs are keen on signing him. He could develop into a quality Premier League defender in the coming seasons.

Arsenal could certainly use more depth in the squad as they look to compete on all fronts. The 21-year-old would be a solid long-term acquisition for them and he could form a quality partnership with William Saliba at the heart of their defence. The Gunners have also shown interest in other Brazilian defenders, including Douglas Mendes.

Meanwhile, Chelsea need to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer, especially with Thiago Silva likely leaving the club as a free agent. They will need to replace the Brazilian defender adequately, and Murillo would be a quality addition.

Liverpool need to plan for a future without Joel Matip. He will be out of contract in the summer, and the Reds will have to bring in alternatives. The 21-year-old could be an important part of the Liverpool back four next season. As far as Manchester United are concerned, Murillo could replace Jonny Evans at Old Trafford.

Barcelona could use more quality and depth at the back as well. The Spanish giants are going through financial difficulties, and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a reasonable deal with Nottingham Forest for the highly-talented defender. They have been linked with several young centre-backs, including Leny Yoro.

Murillo will want to play for a top club

Murillo is still only 21, and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a key player for all five clubs. The opportunity to join one the biggest clubs in the world can be quite hard to turn down, and the 21-year-old will be attracted to the possibility of playing for the aforementioned teams.

It will be interesting to see if Nottingham Forest are prepared to sanction his departure at the end of the season. They are currently struggling for survival in the Premier League and could be forced to sell key players like Murillo in the summer if they go down to the championship.

The 21-year-old will not want to compete in the second division of English football, especially when the biggest clubs in the world are keen on securing his signature. It will be interesting to see where the 21-year-old defender ends up eventually.
