Newcastle United have no intentions to part ways with their 24-year-old striker Alexander Isak amidst interest from Arsenal.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Newcastle United will not sanction the departure of Alexander Isak anytime soon. While the Magpies have major financial concerns, they still have no intention to sell their Swedish striker despite interest in his services from Arsenal.

Isak joined Newcastle United back in 2022 from Real Sociedad for a fee of around €70 million. The 24-year-old has since gone from strength to strength. He has been an integral part of their first team, and the Magpies expect him to be leading their attack for years to come.

While the Magpies have not been at their best in the ongoing season, Isak has still done his bit. He has found the back of the net on 16 occasions so far this season. His impressive performances since joining the English club have put him on the radar of multiple English clubs, who they could knock on the door in the summer.

But, Newcastle United are unlikely to sanction his departure despite facing serious problems in terms of Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. In the recent past, Everton and Nottingham Forest have faced consequences because of their financial situation which has resulted in other clubs scrambling to balance their books.

Newcastle are one of the clubs that do not have the best financial situation because of the heavy spending that they have done in the recent past. As a result, they will have a limited budget to make moves in the summer.

Newcastle United have no intention of selling Alexander Isak

With the Magpies facing financial concerns, it has resulted in speculation surrounding the future of their star players, and Isak is one of them. Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks.

The Gunners wanted to sign him even before he joined Newcastle United. While the failed back then, Mikel Arteta’s team are quite interested in having him in their ranks for next season. Their priority is to land a new number nine at the club in the summer, and Isak is quite high on their wishlist.

However, they are unlikely to get their hands on the 24-year-old as Newcastle have no intentions to negotiate his departure. While they want to go big in the summer to bolster their squad, they will not sacrifice one of their stars to improve their financial situation. The Magpies will instead look to sell players who are not a part of their long-term plans.
