Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich has been linked with a move away from the German club at the end of the season.

A report from Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Joshua Kimmich is open to an exit, and the Bundesliga giants are ready to cash in on him. Apparently, the midfielder is open to joining Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona. Despite the interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG, they are not an option for him.

It will be interesting to see if the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid decide to make their move for the 29-year-old in the coming months. The Gunners could certainly use more quality and depth in the middle of the park. Kimmich could be an alternative to Thomas Partey, and the 29-year-old is versatile enough to operate as a full-back as well.

He knows what it takes to play for the biggest clubs in the world and compete for trophies regularly. His versatility will be an added bonus for Arsenal. So, the interest from the North London club is understandable.

Liverpool could use the player with his skill set as well, and Michael Edwards is pushing for a move. The Reds need to bring in a specialist defensive midfielder, and they need backup in the full back areas as well. The 29-year-old would be an ideal fit for them.

Kimmich can be a reasonable buy for Barcelona

Barcelona have been linked with midfielders recently, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the German international. He could be available for a reasonable price, and signing him could be within Barcelona’s affordability range.

The Spanish giants are hamstrung in terms of finances, and they will not be able to spend a significant amount of money on new signings. As for Real Madrid, they could certainly use more quality and depth in the middle of the park. Kimmich will add experience and leadership qualities to the dressing room as well.
