Arsenal are reportedly considering Joshua Kimmich as part of their shortlist for midfielders ahead of the summer window.

According to Fichajes, Joshua Kimmich features on Arsenal’s list of midfielders ahead of the summer. The Bayern Munich midfielder will enter the final year of his deal, but the Gunners will face plenty of competition for the 28-year-old, with Liverpool and Manchester United a few of those keen.

Arsenal added Joshua Kimmich to their shortlist.

Joshua Kimmich is widely considered one of the best midfielders in the world and has made a name at Bayern along with the German national side. The 28-year-old has already seen links to numerous top clubs, with the summer window likely to get tense for Bayern Munich in their bid to keep hold of him.

Arsenal have now added Kimmich to their list of midfield targets, as Mikel Arteta targets a top-draw name in the summer. The logical reason would be the potential departure of Thomas Partey after another injury-ravaged season that has seen the manager barely use him in this campaign.

Kimmich would be a terrific addition if Arsenal could pull it off from under the noses of their rivals and force Bayern Munich into a sale. The 28-year-old will enter the final year of his deal this summer, with the Bavarians keen to extend his contract, although they have yet to reach an agreement.

Arsenal are not only considering Kimmich, as they have Martin Zubimendi, Douglas Luiz and Frenkie de Jong as critical options in the next window. However, should they see an opening for the 28-year-old in the summer, they will likely fight competition to sign the German.
Manchester United and Liverpool are also keen.

There are a host of sides, like Manchester City, keen on Kimmich, with Pep Guardiola looking at a solid option ahead of the summer. Liverpool are also interested in the German midfielder, although things could still change depending on who takes over from Jurgen Klopp.

Manchester United are also keen and have had a longstanding interest in the midfielder. However, any idea of the 28-year-old choosing the Red Devils will depend on them making it to the Champions League next season, which, at this point, are six points adrift in sixth place on the table.
