Bayern Munich have joined in the race for Aaron Ramsdale with Chelsea also vying for the 25-year-old Arsenal ace.

Fichajes reckons Bayern Munich are present in the race to sign Aaron Ramsdale in the summer. The 25-year-old Arsenal ace seems certain to leave the club in search of regular first-team football after losing his place to summer signing David Raya.

Bayern Munich in Aaron Ramsdale’s chase?

Aaron Ramsdale will be a big transfer story ahead of the summer as the 25-year-old Arsenal ace is sure to leave the club in the summer. The England international seeks an exit from north London to keep playing regular football after two seasons between the sticks as the club’s No.1 keeper.

Arsenal were uninterested in selling him during the January window as Mikel Arteta wanted to keep two competitive keepers in the ranks, the other being David Raya. Ramsdale should see out the remainder of the season as the Spaniard’s deputy, although in the summer, he would want a change of scenery. Chelsea are one of the clubs keen, and now they are joined by Bayern Munich in the race for the England keeper.

Bayern are seeking a long-term successor to Manuel Neuer despite the 37-year-old continuing to perform at the highest level. The Bavarians had eyes on several options back in the summer, including David De Gea and Kepa Arrizabalaga, with Ramsdale now being an option for the Bundesliga side to consider.

The challenge for Bayern would be to convince Ramsdale to turndown overtures from English clubs in favour of coming to Germany. It’s as big as, considering the 25-year-old Arsenal ace may not be the automatic starter in Bavaria, with Neuer likely to start next season between the sticks.

The Aaron Ramsdale situation explained.

For two whole seasons, Aaron Ramsdale was Arsenal’s undisputed No.1, and that trend could have continued for a third had David Raya stayed at Brentford or moved someplace else. The potential availability of the Spaniard excited Mikel Arteta as the club made a swift decision on the signing.

Raya has since usurped his place to become Arsenal’s undisp No.1, and the Gunners are sure to trigger the buy option on his loan deal. The club have also lined up a replacement for Ramsdale, with Columbus Crew keeper Patrick Schulte mentioned recently as an option. Overall, Ramsdale’s time at the club will come to an end once the season concludes, with the 25-year-old set to have an array of options, including Bayern.
