Manchester United are ready to part ways with their 23-year-old flop Jadon Sancho for a fee of around £40 to £50million.
According to a report by Football Insider, Manchester United are ready to sanction the departure of Jadon Sancho in the upcoming summer transfer window. His move to Old Trafford hasn’t really gone according to plan and the Red Devils are planning to make between £40 to £50 million depending on how he performs in the remainder of the season.
Sancho joined the Manchester-based club back in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of £73 million. He never really got going after making a return to England. Things went from bad to worse for the 23-year-old when had a fallout with his manager Erik ten Hag.
The England international was exiled from the first team following a public fallout with the manager. In the winter transfer window, he was loaned back to Dortmund. Since returning to Germany, Sancho has put in a few impressive performances.
He put up a man-of-the-match performance in their recent Champions League clash helping them make it to the quarter-finals. If the former Manchester City player manages to continue in a similar way until the end of the season, United will look to make the most of the situation.
The Red Devils are planning to go big in the summer. They are expected to make major signings in multiple areas as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to bring United back to the top. But, in order to make moves, they will first have to sanction a few departures.
While Dortmund do not have a buy option, they do intend to make a move. While Sancho will return to his parent club, they will look to raise funds by offloading him. If the 23-year-old continues in a similar vein until the end of the season, the Red Devils will look to offload him for a fee of £40 to £50 million.
While they will suffer a loss having paid a fortune for him back in the day, United have surely made the best of his recent form by setting a new bumper price tag.
