According to Fichajes, Borussia Dortmund will seek ways to make Jadon Sancho’s move permanent ahead of the summer. The 23-year-old Manchester United ace faces a vital summer window that could redefine his future as he could evaluate his options.

Borussia Dortmund took the opportunity to re-sign Jadon Sancho on a loan move after the winger’s fallout with Erik Ten HHagat Manchester United. It’s not to suggest the England international has taken his game to the next level since the temporary switch, but he’s proving to be a good option.

Now, Dortmund’s big dilemma ahead of the summer is whether to attempt to sign him permanently. The problem could come with Manchester United’s asking price, with the Red Devils reportedly open to offers for the 23-year-old attacker.

Dortmund have pondered offering Donyell Malen in an exchange deal, as there are chances of such an idea materialising, considering Manchester United is keen on the Dutchman. In any case, the German side can’t sign him permanently at the current asking price.

Yet they will sit with the Red Devils to understand his price point. Alternatively, Dortmund are keen on extending his loan stay by another season, which could include a buy option at the end of the 2024-25 season. Manchester United may seek a permanent solution or an obligation clause. Either way, the German side seek a solution to the Sancho problem.

Jadon Sancho’s future

Sancho may not need to stay at Dortmund beyond this season, as more critical sides will come in for his signature. Manchester United will also become an option should the club part ways with Erik ten HHagin the summer, which may end up making things more interesting.

Dortmund will want to keep hold of him, although his current wages are a big p[problem for the German side. Should they manage a good deal with Manchester United, the possibilities could open up, including another loan spell here or a permanent transfer, depending upon what he desires.
