Chelsea view Michael Olise as one of the top targets

Chelsea are keen on having 22-year-old Crystal Palace attacking sensation Michael Olise in their ranks ahead of next season.

According to Rudy Galetti, Chelsea are looking to further bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window. The Blues are looking to sign a new winger and Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise is a top target for them.

Olise’s coming of age at Crystal Palace

Olise joined the Eagles in the summer of 2021 from Reading. He has gone from strength to strength since making the move. He has featured in a total of 82 matches and has contributed with 12 goals and 22 assists. The majority of those goal contributions have come in the last 24 months.

While he has struggled with a hamstring injury this season Olise still has nine goal contributions in his 11 Premier League outings. His impressive rise and huge potential have attracted a lot of interest and there could be a bidding war for him in the summer.

Despite him having over three years left on his deal at the club, a departure in the summer looks like the most likely outcome given the kind of clubs that are after his signatures. Chelsea are one of the clubs that have been monitoring their former youth player for a while now.

Michael Olise could replace Sterling at Chelsea

The Blues will look to further bolster their squad in the summer. But, they will first look to offload a few of their senior players who are not a part of their plan moving forward. Raheem Sterling is a player that has been linked with a move away from the club.

If they sanction his departure, they are looking to bring in a new winger. Crystal Palace’s Olise who has grown in stature over the past few seasons and the Blues have identified him as a priority target. They feel he can not only bolster their attack for the present but the French youth international could do wonders for them in the long run.

But, they are not the only ones interested, even Manchester United have been linked with the 22-year-old. The Red Devils have had a lot of issues on the right flank and despite having made huge investments in Jadon Sancho and Antony, they are expected to sign a new right winger in the summer and Olise is quite high on their wishlist.
