Aston Villa, Chelsea and West Ham United are all interested in having 26-year-old Flamengo star Pedro in their ranks.

According to a report by CalcioMercato, Aston Villa have entered the race for the services of Chelsea and West Ham United target Pedro. The 26-year-old Brazilian striker has been a consistent performer for Flamengo and they are looking to bring him back to Europe.

Pedro came up the ranks at Fluminense. Just months after he was promoted to their first team, Fiorentina managed to sign him in the summer of 2019. Unfortunately, the move to the Italian club didn’t go as planned. He returned to Brazil in the following transfer window.

He made the move to Flamengo and since joining them, he has featured in a total of 224 matches and has contributed towards 134 goals. He has found the back of the net on 110 occasions.

The 26-year-old has been a mainstay in their team over the years but it seems a departure could be on the card in the summer. Despite his deal running until the end of 2027, clubs are ready to prise him away.

English trio pushing for Pedro’s signatures

Aston Villa, Chelsea and West Ham United are all interested in the Brazilian international. Unai Emery’s team have been doing wonders in the recent past but they are still looking at ways to bolster their attack and signing a new striker is one of their targets heading into the next window.

Despite having invested millions in reinforcing their attack Chelsea has struggled in the final third. Their big-money moves haven’t really done the job for them. They are looking to sign a proven goal scorer and Pedro is one of the names that has been on their radar.

The Hammers are also in desperate need of a new number nine. Michail Antonio’s contract runs out at the end of the season while Danny Ings’ future is also uncertain with his deal running out in the summer of 2025. They need a capable replacement and the Flamengo star could be an ideal fit.

But, the Brazilian will not let him leave with ease. Portuguese club Benfica came with an €18 million offer in the winter but it was rejected right away. The report states that Flamengo will only negotiate his departure for a fee of around €30 million plus a percentage on future resale is first put on the table.
