A report from Fichajes has claimed that Liverpool are in pole position to sign Georgiy Sudakov, who is on the radar of Spanish club Barcelona as well. The midfielder has a €150 million release clause in his contract, and he could prove to be a quality addition for Liverpool in the long term.
Liverpool need to add creativity and control in the middle of the park, and Sudakov would be a solid investment for them. However, it is highly unlikely that any club will pay the €150 million release clause for the midfielder. So, Shakhtar will have to be more reasonable with their demands.
The opportunity to join a big club like Liverpool will be quite tempting for the midfielder, and he will hope that the two clubs can work out an agreement soon.
