The Egypt international has been linked with a summer move away from Anfield, but they could keep hold of their star by agreeing to let him in on their future plans.

The Reds are all set to undergo major changes in the summer, with Jurgen Klopp ending his nine-year-long successful stint at the club. The Merseyside club are on the hunt for a new manager. While Xabi Alonso is their priority target, they are not front-runners for his signatures.
