AC Milan are in direct contact with Arsenal as they look to secure the services of 24-year-old Polish centre-back Jakub Kiwior.
According to a report by Fichajes, AC Milan are keen on bolstering their defence ahead of next season and the Italian giants have their eyes set on Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior. The 24-year-old is considering parting ways with the Gunners and he could look to return to Italy next season.
Kiwior made a name for himself while playing for Spezia Calcio before securing a €25 million move to Arenal in the winter of 2023. Since making the move to the North London club, he has featured in 31 matches so far but hasn’t really had enough minutes.
He has only featured in 23 matches and has racked up just over 1,200 minutes of first-team football. The Polish centre-back is not really happy with his limited game time and he is considering his future at the club.
Despite having a contract that runs until 2028, he could be leaving at the end of the season. There is interest in his services from clubs in Italy.
AC Milan keen on Kiwior’s signatures
AC Milan have been interested in him for a while now and they are the front-runners at this stage. They have been in direct contact with the Gunners as both parties look to reach an agreement over a transfer.
The Milan-based club are looking to sign him on a season-long loan with an option to buy. While Mikel Arteta’s team are ready to sanction his departure, they are not willing to let him leave on loan unless there is an obligation to buy.
Talks between the two clubs are expected to continue over the next weeks as they look to strike a deal. The negotiations could reach a stage where both clubs agree to a transfer with conditional clauses. If the player meets those criteria, the loan deal will become permanent next summer.
Milan are keen on bolstering their defence ahead of next season and Kiwior could be a great addition to their ranks. He has done it in Italy back in the day and a return could help him return to his very best.
