AC Milan in talks to sign Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal

AC Milan are interested in acquiring the services of 23-year-old Arsenal centre-back Jakub Kiwior in the upcoming winter transfer window.

According to a report by Calciomercato, AC Milan are keen on having Jakub Kiwior in their ranks. The Rossoneri want to reinforce their defence in January and they have set their eyes on Arsenal’s 23-year-old centre-back.

After proving his credentials at Spezia Calcio, the 23-year-old made a move to Arsenal at the start of the year. The Gunners wanted to add more depth as well as quality in their ranks and they decided to push for his services. Since joining the club he has featured in a total of 20 games and even has a goal to his name.

While Kiwior has done a decent job since joining the Gunners, his way down the pecking order at Arsenal. The 23-year-old is not getting enough game time and if things don’t improve he might consider a move away to get the much-needed minutes.

In the ongoing season, he might have featured in 12 matches but he has been on the pitch for less than 600 minutes. AC Milan could be a potential destination for Kiwior as they are interested in his services.

The Rossoneri want to bolster their defence in January on a priority basis. They want more depth in their ranks as three of their centre-backs are currently out injured. The management of the club feels the Arsenal defender is an ideal fit for the club.

He has the potential to be a special player and will only get better with time. They are willing to invest in him and have started making moves to land him at the club. Milan are keen on having his services because of his versatile nature. The Polish international can feature in the heart of the defence as well as out wide as a left-sided full-back.

While the Italian giants are keen on having him in their ranks to solve their defensive crisis, it will be interesting to see if the Gunners are ready to part ways with Kiwior whose contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028.
