Intermediaries have reportedly offered Paulo Dybala to Barcelona, with West Ham United keen on signing him this summer.

According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona will have the chance to sign Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered the 30-year-old World Cup winner to the Blaugrana. Meanwhile, the AS Roma attacker is a target for West Ham United.

Paulo Dybala and his Excellence in Serie A

Paulo Dybala has been among the best players in Serie A for over a decade. The Argentine international rose in prominence after arriving in Europe by joining US Palermo in July 2012. Juventus came calling in 2015, and he enjoyed an excellent seven-year stint at the Allianz Stadium before leaving the Bianconeri as a free agent in 2022.

Since then, the 30-year-old has been with AS Roma, coming leaps and bounds at Stadio Olimpico in the last 18 months. He enjoyed a solid debut campaign with the Giallorossi and has been excellent this season. Dybala has amassed 13 goals and seven assists in 26 appearances thus far this term.

The World Cup winner has been exceptional since returning from injury, scoring goals for fun under the tutelage of Daniele De Rossi. But the AS Roma attacker has a meagre release clause worth €12 million in his contract with the Giallorossi. That has piqued the interest of several well-known clubs, including West Ham United. Meanwhile, intermediaries have offered him to Barcelona.

Summer Move on the Cards?

The Catalan giants have already shown interest in Paulo Dybala. So, with intermediaries offering him to Barcelona, it might not be surprising to see the Blaugrana launching the offensive to sign him in the summer transfer window. A potential move for the 30-year-old World Cup winner makes sense amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Raphinha.

As for West Ham United, the Hammers want to become fixtures in the European competitions. So, they must sign players to take them to the next level, bringing Dybala into the picture. But it is unclear if a player of his stature is open to joining West Ham instead of waiting for a bigger club.

Barcelona will be an attractive destination for the Argentine international, considering the club’s constant UEFA Champions League presence. But it will be interesting to see if West Ham can beat the Blaugrana to his signature.
