Chelsea have been handed a boost in their chase for Rafael Leao, with AC Milan reportedly ready to consider offers for the Portuguese attacker.

According to Fichajes, AC Milan could listen to offers coming for some of their critical stars in the summer, including Rafael Leao. The decision will undoubtedly boost some of those suitors, especially Chelsea, who will consider this a boost in pursuing the 24-year-old Serie A attacker.

Chelsea handed Rafael Leao a boost.

Chelsea have long looked at Rafael Leao as one of ther marquee transfer target, although there have been plenty of complications in chasing the Portuguese star. His recent commitment to AC Milan by signing a new contract has decreased the probability for many clubs in pursuit of the 24-year-old Serie A attacker.

His new deal includes a €175 million release clause, and should any club come in for the 24-year-old Serie A attacker, they will have to pay a premium price for Leao. As per the report, Milan is ready to listen to offers for the attacker and will expect a big offer to come their way.

Should that reporting come out accurately, it will boost Chelsea’s hopes of pursuing the attacker. The Blues have previously held talks for the Portuguese star, as they may consider making a sizeable offer in the summer should all conditions suit their cause.

Manchester City are also keen and reportedly willing to pay a premium price should the attacker be available in the summer. Chelsea wants to get ahead in the race, which means it will deliver better than its competitors, although it might not have to worry about one big rival.

PSG out of the Rafael Leao race

Per another report on Saturday, PSG have reporteldy pulled out of the race for Leao, which may have further boosted Chelsea’s hopes. The Parisians had shown an interest in the 24-year-old Serie A attacker as they considered him a replacement for the departing Kylian Mbappe.

However, with PSG out of the Leao chase, they may cause Chelsea problems pursuing another top target, Victor Osimhen. The Parisians will make a concerted effort to sign the Napoli star, although in the chase for both the Nigerian and Leao, either club could ideally sign only one.
