Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Barcelona attacking duo Ferran Torres and Raphinha in the summer transfer window.

A report from Fichajes has claimed that Arsenal are keen on Barcelona duo Ferran Torres and Raphinha. The two attackers might leave the reigning La Liga champions in the summer transfer window.

Raphinha has been linked with clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool as well. The Brazilian international cost Barcelona £50 million when he arrived from Leeds United.

It is no secret that Arsenal need attacking depth in the squad. They have not been able to rotate players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka adequately because of the lack of options. Raphinha is versatile enough to operate on both flanks, and his arrival will allow Arsenal to shuffle their pack more often.

On the other hand, Ferran Torres has not been a regular starter for Barcelona despite showing good form this season. He needs to move on to play every week and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal are prepared to provide him with that opportunity.

The Spaniard has played in the Premier League before with Manchester City, and the opportunity to return could be tempting for him. Meanwhile, Raphinha also played his best football with Leeds United in the past. Although he has done reasonably well for Barcelona, he has not managed to live up to the expectations so far.

Barcelona need to sell the duo for funds

Barcelona are going through financial crisis, and they are looking to raise funds at the end of the season. It is not surprising that they have chosen to cash in on Raphinha and Ferran Torres. Neither are key players for them, and the Spanish club will feel that they can be easily replaced.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Meanwhile, Liverpool need more quality and depth in the white areas as well, especially if Mohamed Salah leaves the club. Raphinha could be a quality acquisition for them as well.

As far as Tottenham are concerned, they need a deeper squad to complete for major trophies, and it remains to be seen whether they can beat the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool to the Barcelona attacker.

Both players could improve Arsenal going forward, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners can secure a reasonable agreement with the Spanish club. Arsenal are fighting for he Premier League title, and they need top quality players to win major trophies consistently. They would do well to secure the services of the two players in the coming weeks.
