Luis Guilherme: Palmeiras’s newest Jewel

Luis Guilherme was promoted to the Palmeiras first team at the start of 2023 and has since gone from strength to strength. The teenager is the next big thing that has come up the ranks at the Brazilian club.

Just 15 months after Real Madrid won the race for the services of Palmeiras star Endrick, another star has emerged from the club in Guilherme. The teenager is regarded as a huge prospect for the future and he has even been compared to some of the greats of the game.

His impressive rise and exceptional performances for the Brazilian club have put him on the radar of the biggest clubs across Europe. They are keeping a close eye on him and are all set to enter into a bidding war. He turned 18 at the start of February and is now eligible to move to Europe.

Manchester United, Tottenham to wage battle for Luis Guilherme

Liverpool are one of the English clubs keen on signing the Brazilian sensation who is exceptional on the ball and is considered to be one of the fastest players in South America. While he prefers playing as an attacking midfielder, he can even feature on the right flank if needed.

The Merseyside club are desperate to have him in their ranks and have been pushing very hard for his signatures via intermediaries. They feel they cannot afford to miss out on this big a talent. But, Liverpool will face competition from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur for his signatures.

Both English clubs are closely monitoring him. Manchester United are all set to focus on young prospects with huge potential under the new minority ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and Guilherme could be a statement signing.

Meanwhile, the teenager will provide much-needed depth to Ange Postecoglou’s team, and he could eventually become a mainstay in the Tottenham first  team. There is a release clause in his deal in the region of £50 million and only a figure close that will convince the Brazilian club to sell their starlet.
