According to a report by Sport BILD, as relayed by Sport Witness, Donyell Malen will likely leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window to help the Bundesliga club fund new signings. Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing the Dutch attacker. And they will need to cough up €40-50 million to secure his services.

Donyell Malen has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Borussia Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in July 2021. A former trainee at Arsenal, the 25-year-old spent his formative years in the Netherlands and England, graduating from the PSV Eindhoven youth division.
The Dutchman rose in prominence at the Eredivisie club, which earned him a move to the Bundesliga. But he has blown hot and cold at Borussia Dortmund in the last two and a half years. While Malen has a solid tally of 12 goals and four assists in 30 appearances across all competitions, consistency has been missing from his game.
However, despite not being consistent for Borussia Dortmund, Malen’s stock remains high, with several high-profile clubs interested in signing him. Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen, with Liverpool and Manchester United vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

The Reds are in a precarious position over the long-term future of Mohamed Salah, with big-spending Saudi Pro League clubs keen on signing him.
