Omar Marmoush, whose price tag is around €30-40 million, reportedly dreams of moving to the Premier League.

According to a report by German outlet BILD, a move to the Premier League might be on the cards for Omar Marmoush. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are interested in the 25-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt striker. Meanwhile, the Bundesliga club will demand around €30-40 million to part ways with him.

Who is Omar Marmoush?

Omar Marmoush is a native of Cairo and spent most of his formative years in Egypt before graduating from the Wadi Degla youth division. But he has risen in prominence since moving to Europe by joining VfL Wolfsburg in August 2017. Since then, the Egyptian international has been among the most underrated strikers in the Bundesliga.

A loan spell at VfB Stuttgart helped him find a stable footing, and his stock has soared since joining Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. The 25-year-old has contributed to 20 goals in 30 outings thus far this season, finding the back of the net 15 goals while providing five assists.

Meanwhile, Marmoush’s progress in the Bundesliga has not gone unnoticed, and his exploits have piqued the interest of several well-known clubs. Premier League bigwigs, in particular, are keen on signing the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, with Tottenham and Newcastle United vying for his signature. Meanwhile, Die Adler will demand €30-40 million to part ways with him.

Tottenham, Newcastle Want Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Omar Marmoush is understandable. The North London club did not sign a like-for-like replacement for Harry Kane last summer. So, with Richarlison and Son Heung-min playing as makeshift strikers this term, it behoves Tottenham to invest in a centre-forward. The Eintracht Frankfurt forward is thus a viable target for them.

As for Newcastle United, the Tyneside outfit will likely part ways with Callum Wilson in the summer transfer window. The Englishman’s fitness issues have made him a liability for Newcastle United. So, Marmoush is an option worth considering. The Magpies and Tottenham now have an added incentive to pursue the 25-year-old, who dreams of moving to the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United should have enough funds to shell out €30-40 million to secure Marmoush’s services in the summer transfer window. With the Egyptian international keen on playing for a Premier League club, his adventure in the Bundesliga might end soon.
