Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.
A report from TEAMtalk has claimed that Liverpool are confident of signing Marc Guehi. The 23-year-old central defender is on the radar of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as well.
Guehi has established himself as a reliable Premier League defender in recent seasons, and he has the attributes to develop into a top-class player. A move to Liverpool would allow him to compete at a high level, and he would get to test himself in the Champions League as well.
It is no secret that Liverpool need to bring in defensive reinforcements. Joel Matip will likely leave the club at the end of the season, and the Reds will have to replace him adequately. So, the Crystal Palace defender has emerged as a viable target for Liverpool.
Marc Guehi is well-settled in the Premier League, and he could make an immediate impact if he moves to Anfield. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can secure a reasonable agreement with Crystal Palace now.
Arsenal are keen on the player as well. It remains to be seen whether they decide to get rid of some of their defenders in the summer and sign the Crystal Palace star. As for Chelsea, they need a long term replacement for Thiago Silva, and bringing the 23-year-old back to the club would be ideal for them. He is a former Chelsea Academy graduate and might feel that he has unfinished business at Stamford bridge.
Tottenham have already signed Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin this season, and signing another central defender seems unlikely. They will not be able to guarantee him regular game time, meaning a move might not see the light of day. The 23-year-old needs to join a club where he will start every week, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
